Ribbon cutting to be held for Wisconsin Conquerors Football Club

WESTON — The Wisconsin Conquerors Football Club will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 18 at the Greenheck Turner Community Center. The ribbon cutting will mark the team’s start of the 2024-2025 Major Arena Soccer League season and will be followed by several exhibition games against local high school teams.

Admission is free for these games and concessions will be available for purchase.

The soccer team is led by Dr. Alexander Eddo and a board of directors that includes soccer legend Brian Deane. Dr. Eddo and his wife Cerene are co-owners of the team.

Dr. Eddo, who serves as the club’s founder and president, is a Doctor of Pharmacy practicing in Wisconsin. He is a former player who was scouted to FC Porto and later played four years at Tusculum University on a scholarship.

“We are a soccer club of athletes who are first and foremost, of high character and moral integrity and secondarily athletes of talent,” said Eddo. “We develop players of high caliber able to compete at the top of elite soccer.”

The Conquerors have a friendly pre-season match against the professional indoor club, the Milwaukee Wave, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at the Greenheck Turner Community Center in Weston.
