Finalists named for 2024 ATHENA Leadership Awards

WAUSAU — The finalists have been named for the 2024 ATHENA Leadership Awards. The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce will host an awards program at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 21 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Rothschild.

The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce has one of the longest-running and most established programs in the US and presents two different awards. The ATHENA Leadership Award and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award are presented to women or men in recognition of their professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.  

The finalists for the 39th annual ATHENA Leadership Award are:

The finalists for the 17th annual ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award are:

Last year, Amber Gober, Branch Manager at Peoples State Bank, was named the recipient of the 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award. Jessica Scharfenberg, CEO at HealthFirst Network Inc in Wausau, was named the recipient of the 2023 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award.

All of this year's finalists will be profiled in live interviews later this month streamed through the Chamber’s Facebook page. These videos will also be available on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
