Chamber to launch Next Wave program for young professionals next month

WAUSAU — The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce is offering a new series of complimentary programs for members designed to empower and connect the young talent in the community. Next Wave will offer a vibrant social engagement group tailored to young professionals who are in the formative stages of their careers. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber’s Business Advancement Center in the organization’s historic depot headquarters in downtown Wausau. This program will be held every other month.

“The future of our community lies in the hands of its young professionals,” said Lukas Lindner, Workforce Development and Advocacy Director at the Chamber. “Next Wave is the Chamber's commitment to ensure this segment of the workforce has the support and connections needed to thrive both personally and professionally.”

Local businesses who send attendees will demonstrate their dedication to the development of young talent in the greater Wausau area. This program will provide essential connections, networking opportunities and a supportive community where emerging professionals can learn, grow and thrive together.

If you are unsure if you are a member of the Chamber, browse the directory at WausauChamber.com to determine if your employer is a member. Volunteers and board members for non-profit members of the Chamber are also welcomed to attend.

Attendees must be 21 years old and each meeting is limited to the first 30 registrants. This is a free event, but registration is required. Visit WausauChamber.com to register or to learn more.
