Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all directions from the construction manager, and work with team members to complete construction projects
  • Routinely lifts, carries, and moves materials weighing 50 pounds
  • Run hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as required
  • Transfer, carry, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, lumber, tile, saws, grout, etc.
  • Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean and meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Aid tradesmen, sub-contractors, and craft workers such as painters, roofers, plasterers, carpenters, and electricians, as necessary
  • Assist sub-contractors, tradesmen, and craft workers like roofers, plasterers, carpenters, painters, and electricians as needed
  • Comply with all instructions given by the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as needed
  • Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc.
  • Meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements by removing debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required - Trade certification, associate degree, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred
  • Previous construction framing experience
  • Knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to understand blueprints and construction plans is required
  • Mechanical skills are needed along with excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions such as extreme temperatures and rain
  • Previous construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools and equipment, and an understanding of blueprints and construction plans is required
  • Carry a valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification is required
Compensation
$18+ hourly DOE
