Boys & Girls Club - Resource Development Coordinator
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
In accordance with the elements of competence established for Boys & Girls Club resource development professionals, the Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the fundraising efforts through campaigns targeting foundations, corporations, civic groups and individual donors. The Development Coordinator provides cultivation and stewardship support to the board of directors, volunteers and CEO for ongoing fundraising efforts. The coordinator acknowledges donor gifts, manages marketing and supports special events.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the planning and implementation of the strategic plan regarding activities relating to donor solicitations and other Club fundraising efforts.
Resource Development
Contribute to acquiring financial support that contribute to a diverse revenue portfolio and significant growth:
support details of ongoing annual campaigns resource development needs
work with Club management to build relationships with corporations, civic group, individuals and foundations for financial commitments.
support special fundraising events logistics and revenue driving needs as required
Marketing
Manage external communication to donors and community:
support relationship with external marketing firm
create and revenue driven social media activity and keep website current and updated to provide an optimal and easy to navigate experience for donors, community members and parents
work with CEO to ensure consistent and timely internal and external communication
Resource Management
Manage administrative and operational systems as required to ensure organization runs efficiently. This may include:
tracking fundraising income, tracking the cultivation and stewardship information of all donor portfolios, and compiling reports as needed
managing, in partnership with CEO, all levels of stewardship for donors and partners with acknowledgment letters and special recognition events and initiatives
Ensure a productive working environment, providing administrative staff support to Club management, leadership and board related to fundraising needs. Attend various committee, board and community meetings, as needed or assigned.
