Community Foundation Honors Two Local Leaders With Philanthropy Awards
The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin is proud to announce the recipients of two distinguished honors presented at its annual donor celebration: the Spirit of Philanthropy Award, awarded to Dave and Marie Eisenreich, and the inaugural Community Partner Award, presented to Peter Gaffaney.
These awards recognize extraordinary leadership, generosity, and partnership that continue to enrich the lives of people throughout North Central Wisconsin.
2025 Spirit of Philanthropy Award: Dave & Marie Eisenreich
The Spirit of Philanthropy Award celebrates individuals whose generosity, leadership, and enduring commitment have shaped the community for the better. Dave and Marie Eisenreich exemplify this spirit through their steadfast support and partnership with the Community Foundation.
A respected leader and former Board Chair, Dave Eisenreich has guided the Community Foundation through pivotal seasons of growth. His contributions extend well beyond financial generosity, offering wisdom, time, and heartfelt dedication that have inspired others to give back. Together, Dave and Marie have modeled the profound impact of giving for the greater good.
Reflecting on this recognition, Dave shared: “It has been my privilege to serve on the board of The Community Foundation over the last 7 years. During that time, I have come to recognize the volume of unmet needs in our community and the generosity of our donors in helping to bridge the gap. To be recognized with this award is an incredible honor, and I am grateful to be part of an organization that’s making a positive impact in our community.”
“Dave and Marie’s spirit of philanthropy is stitched deeply into the fabric of this community,” said Tim Parker, President and CEO of the Foundation. “Their legacy of what can only be described as good, old-fashioned generosity continues to strengthen North Central Wisconsin, and this award suits them perfectly.”
Inaugural Community Partner Award: Peter Gaffaney
This year also marks the debut of the Community Partner Award, created to honor individuals who demonstrate exceptional collaboration, leadership, and commitment in advancing the Foundation’s mission. The first-ever recipient is longtime Community Foundation leader and friend, Peter Gaffaney.
Peter has served the Community Foundation in numerous capacities, including past board president, fund holder, donor, and dedicated committee member. As a financial advisor, he has also introduced countless clients to the meaningful role philanthropy can play in their lives. Through his insight and guidance, Peter has helped donors make lasting, purposeful contributions to the causes they care about most.
In his own words, Peter shared why supporting the Foundation is so meaningful to him: “As someone who lives and works in this community, I believe deeply in the importance of giving back to the place that has given so much to me. The Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening our region, supporting local nonprofits, funding educational initiatives, and responding to emerging needs with compassion and foresight. What sets the Foundation apart is its commitment to long-term impact. Through thoughtful stewardship and strategic grantmaking, it ensures that every dollar donated goes toward building a stronger, more vibrant North Central Wisconsin—not just for today, but for generations to come.”
“This award recognizes not only Peter’s service, but the spirit of collaboration and vision he brings to everything he does,” Parker shared. “He has been a bridge between generosity and opportunity, helping strengthen our community for generations to come.”

On behalf of its board, staff, donors, and community partners, the Community Foundation extends heartfelt congratulations to Dave and Marie Eisenreich and Peter Gaffaney for their remarkable service, leadership, and generosity.
