Chamber’s Business EXPO will again offer a celebration of region’s commerce

WAUSAU — Thousands of attendees will assemble on Thursday, April 17 at the Central Wisconsin Convention + Expo Center in Rothschild for the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce’s Business EXPO. The annual Business EXPO is the largest Chamber tradeshow in the country. More than 150 booths have already been reserved for the event. Registration for the EXPO, now available through an interactive map, is available on WausauChamber.com.

The EXPO offers Chamber members an opportunity to build awareness of their business or organization, showcase existing or new products and services, promote employment opportunities and more. Members hosting booths at the EXPO often feature giveaways, contests and samples in their spaces.

“The EXPO is really our Chamber’s Super Bowl,” said Brian Otten, marketing director at the Chamber. “It is an exciting day, offering connections between the hundreds of our member exhibitors and the many attendees who drop by. The EXPO is the largest show of its kind in the country and we’re proud to host it right here in the greater Wausau region.”

New this year, the 2025 Small Business of the Year Awards will be announced at the EXPO. A live streamed program from the EXPO featuring brief interviews with the finalists and the naming of the recipients will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 and will be available for viewing through the Chamber’s Facebook page. The nomination period for these awards is now open and both businesses and non-profits will be named as finalists in the coming weeks. The EXPO features an exhibitor-to-exhibitor time from 9 a.m. to noon, before opening to the public. The public is welcomed to attend the EXPO from noon to 5 p.m. and admission to the event during this time is free with a business card. Those without business cards may enter during this time for $10. A mascot parade will be held during the EXPO at 1 p.m.

The EXPO will be followed by a Fun@EXPO networking event from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at bantr in Rothschild. Fun@EXPO is the region’s largest business networking event of the year, offering a unique opportunity to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones. Food and beverages at the event will be supplied by various Chamber member restaurants, caterers, distributors and breweries. Registration will open soon for this event on WausauChamber.com.
