Ribbon Cutting - Marshfield Medical Center- Weston Women's Health & Imaging Center

On Friday, October 10, Marshfield Medical Center-Weston will hold a grand opening ceremony for our Women’s Health & Imaging Center.   

• The Center officially opened on the Weston campus earlier this summer. 
• In September, it became the first location in the greater Wausau area to offer Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM).
• CEM is like a regular mammogram. However, before receiving the mammogram, patients receive an iodine-based dye injection through IV. The dye highlights things like abnormal blood vessels that can be a sign of cancer development.
• Research has shown that CEM finds breast cancer better than traditional mammograms and is more like breast MRI. It has the potential to find breast cancers that could be missed during a traditional mammogram or breast ultrasound.
• Numerous other services are provided at the Center, including breast ultrasound, biopsy, MRI and bone density screening.

This event is not open to the general public.

Ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings are held at member investor facilities that have celebrated one of the following successes:

• Broke ground or opened a new facility
• Moved to a new location
• Remodeled an existing facility
• Welcomed new ownership
• Underwent a significant re-branding or name change
