Ribbon Cutting - Janke Book Store - 2024-12-04

Wednesday, December 4, 2024 (12:00 PM - 12:30 PM) (CST)

Description

Established in 1874, and purchased by Carl Janke after his U.S. Army discharge from World War I in 1919, Janke Book Store is recognized as an institution in Wausau.  Janke Book Store has held to the adage of founder Janke that an independent bookstore's success is founded on providing far more than books to its customers.  The Janke Family is also celebrating 105 years as a family-owned business, and one of the longest-standing Wausau Chamber member businesses for 105 years!

The public and media are invited to attend this 150-year milestone in business.

Ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings are held at member investor facilities that have celebrated one of the following successes:

  • Broke ground or opened a new facility
  • Moved to a new location
  • Remodeled an existing facility
  • Welcomed new ownership
  • Underwent a significant re-branding or name change

For planning purposes, RSVPs are requested for this event.
