Matt Ohrt, Co-Founder and Chief Healthcare Officer, Self-Fund Health

Matt is the author of Save Your Company: Don't Feed the Beast: The Employer Healthcare Success Formula. Matt had his first major healthcare success when he was VP of HR & Medical Services for Merrill Steel in Schofield. Matt was chosen as the HR Professional of the Year in 2019 by the Central Wisconsin Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). In 2020, he received the Healthcare Transformation Award for Wisconsin.

Wendy is the owner of Host: Central Wisconsin, which specializes in talent acquisition and retention. Through Host, she works with companies across the region, collaborating on recruitment, community visits, organization tours, relocation services, retention strategies, employee satisfaction surveys, team building activities and consultation. No matter the situation, Host works with the employer to create a specialized and effective strategy for their talent efforts.
