Wausau School District--​Schuette Metals Donate to Career & Technical Education Program

Schuette Metals President John Peterson presented Jon Winter, Wausau School District Career and Technical Education Coordinator, with a check dedicated to advancing the East High and West High manufacturing curriculum!


The funds helped purchase Industry 4.0 equipmentEast High and West High manufacturing students will have the opportunity to learn about Mechatronics, Robotic Operations and Production Technician and access to a Fanuc Robotic Arm, a Manufacturing Training and Assessment system teaching students about automation processes, robotics, and AC/DC electrical processes. Students will have the opportunity to earn Smart Automation credentials that demonstrate industry knowledge and skills with Industry 4.0 Advanced Manufacturing Equipment.

CTE Coordinator Jon Winter says, “Schuette Metals has made it possible for us to align our curriculum to Industry 4.0 changes and bring students the technical skills our local workforce relies on. We are thrilled that Schuette Metals has continued their amazing support in the Wausau School District.” Schuette Metals has been a leader in synergizing the manufacturing industry through the Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance, sponsoring high school SkillsUSA students, hiring Youth Apprenticeship students, and supporting other district programlike the welding competitions, and the 8th Grade Heavy Metal Tour.
