The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, Inc. offers an internship opportunity for a student studying music, business, communications, graphic design or any related field at UW-Stevens Point for May 2024- August 2024 (Summer), September 2024- December 2024 (Fall) and January 2025- May 2025 (Spring). Flexible hours, to be determined by Executive Director and student for a minimum of 80 hours and maximum of 150. Typically, a summer intern works 10-18 hours per week.
Any arts administration or business students are welcome to apply through an interview process. This is unpaid internship; however, students can receive payment of $10 per hour through the PCI program. To receive pay, interns must meet eligibility requirements for the Pointers Connect Internship (PCI) program. Requirements include, currently enrolled at UWSP, Junior or senior status, 2.0 GPA or higher plus one of the following: 1st generation college student; Pell eligible or non-traditional student.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivated and possess excellent skills of verbal and written communication.
Candidates must present an updated résumé and a minimum of two references, including e-mail and telephone contact information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist operational duties (concert production)
· Assist in operations of and marketing for the Scarabocchio Art Museum and CWSO
· Assist with Community Engagement activities
· Assist with clerical duties
· Assist with grant seeking and writing
· Assist with data entry
· Assist with office duties
· Assist with marketing, graphic design, press releases and social media
· Arts organization advocacy
